Vacuum jacketed piping
Cryogenic piping systems for your facility.
or more information
Air Liquide Healthcare specializes in the design, installation, and commissioning of vacuum jacketed piping systems at medical facilities.
What is a vacuum jacketed piping system?
Vacuum jacketed piping, also called vacuum-insulated piping, is the most efficient way used to transfer to transfer cryogenic liquids. Cryogens like liquid oxygen, and liquid nitrogen must be kept cold during the transfer process, or the liquid will become gaseous and leak out.
A vacuum jacketed pipe is typically made up of two pipes, an inner pipe which the cryogenic liquid flows through and the space between the inner and outer pipe that provides the vacuum insulation, forming the vacuum jacket area around the inner pipe.
Vacuum jacketed pipes are the preferred solution for a safe and reliable transfer of cryogenic liquids. Vacuum jacketed piping systems are an efficient alternative to foam-insulated pipes or dynamic vacuum systems for both it's insulating capabilities and cost-effective operation.
We have installed liquid nitrogen piping systems at Canada's largest biobanks, and have the experience to bring to your project. We will ensure a reliable flow of cryogenic liquids and the safety of the system for your employees.
